It’s great to hear these songs. I spent a couple of months in Sussex earlier this year, studying field biology and English folklore and these songs are very evocative for me.

Hi Richard, you may or may not remember me – last time we met, you took me on your motorbike to Wilmington, in 1976!

I have beside me on my desk my favourite Rupert book, which says inside, ‘This book belongs to Richard Woods.’ This is one of my most treasured books, but my own stepgrandchildren are now 15 and 20, and not very interested in Rupert anyway. I wondered if you might like to have it back for your own children, or their children. I would be happy to send it to you if you would like it.

If not, it will still be my favourite Rupert book and part of my estate, haha.

Hi my dear friend and very well said and written… and your philosophical words in the poem apply to all religions… the two paintings are also brilliant and the one on the left of the screen is indicative of an Indonesian ‘Shadow puppet’ “Excellent”
