Silently, invisibly,

God worked for me today.

I spoke a prayer into the air,

It travelled through time and space somewhere.

God took the words

And disconnected thoughts,

Made sense of that which was distraught,

Confirming once again

That trust in Jesus Christ was not in
vain

Those forty years ago.

O sick and dying world,

Where is thy golden globe?

Thine oscars are all tarnished,

The actors all born wild.

But thus it’s ever been,

Since auditions went awry,

And thus it will continue,

All actors have to die.

But there is a new production,

The script is well approved,

But how, or when, it is not known,

But faith believes it well.

But it has not all been bad,

The works of time and space,

The procurement of redemption

Applauded at the Cross.

But not everyone’s applauding,

Many just don’t get the plot,

But, few, where grace is given

Embrace the ‘bloodied’ lot.

The script of God is bloodied,

Abraham attests it well,

Moses’ law and commandments

Require the blood to tell.

The Messiah will, and has already come,

The temple’s curtain rent.

And God gave us twelve apostles,

The Gospel has been sent.

Atoms & DNA reunited, or, as the Authorised Version has it, The

                         WHAT’S IT WORTH?

Citizens of the earth,

What do you think you’re worth?

From New York to Beijing

Can’t you hear the angels sing?

It is that time of year again

When Christ is heard amongst your pain.

Can’t you hear that bird around your ear?

Have faith in God, in Christ so dear.

Citizens of the earth,

What do you think you’re worth?

Are your hearts and minds so closed

That the slightest religious thought

Gets up your nose?

Who knows how, or even when

God’s spirit reveals the sinner’s friend,

To all nations on the earth,

Who, through impeccable  grace, know their worth,

The redeeming love of God.

God knows the barriers that you face,

When within your culture you find disgrace,

But let them see your change within,

Your peace and love towards your kin,

And who knows your family and society

May benefit from your humanity

And thereby see a polished plaque

For all to behold  a Creator,

The redeeming God.

The explanation of human existence given by common consent has more leaps than an Olympic long jump.

Mutations within species is not the same as evolution from one species to another.

Comes a troubled mind with inflammation.

Hyper-intelligence comes with it’s curse

It’s only remedy is the simple nurse,

Whose only gift is compassion.

Remember, remember

The 11^th of November,

Politics, patriotism and death,

But, alas, even in peace,

There is no sweet release

From humanity’s deadliest disease,

“Itself.”

No offence meant to another’s memory. My dad, (who was in his fifties
when he and Mum adopted me when I was six) was a victim and survivor
of Hill 60 on the Somme. It is one of my regrets that he was unable
to talk to me about his experience as this might have helped with our
rather fraught (to say the least) relationship.

God help the living.

Bible and let your journey begin.
