Senior Jack Horner,

He was a lot poorer,

His interest was virtually nil,

So he took out his money,

Bought bees that made honey,

And made a new life in Brazil.

Now the bank became bust,

There was one heck of a fuss,

The chancellor was charged as a wrecker

But Jack, who kept bees,

Was oh, so very pleased

When he was asked to be the exchequer.

In the dawn of time

A line was drawn

To cross it would be nature’s pain

With space spread out

And the atoms they shout

And time is winking again.

It is sweet release

For the fowl and the beast

But for humans?

The romantics song.

Faith and doubt, what is it about?

The mind in contortion twists,

The wood and the trees,

The trees and the wood,

The horizon for us

Does not look good,

For hurricanes start with a breeze.

So back to our state,

Some call it fate

While others it’s reason and law,

As arguments go

Progress is slow

To relieve the state of the poor.

So look back to what you’ve missed,

For the truth in it’s shade

Is perfectly made

To knock out the lie

With it’s fist.

The three legged sheepdog,

It was a special dog,

For over hill and over dale,

Enthusiastic wagging tail,

It gathered up the flock.

And then one day it met a lamb,

It too had a missing leg,

And together they devised a cunning plan

To go to London to beg.

On Oxford Street and on the tube

They were a familiar sight.

The dog he barked and the lamb did bleat

Both dog and lamb looked very sweet.

Then along came Simon Cowell,

Who made the three legged dog to howl,

And both appeared upon his show

How much they made we’ll never know,

But parting is such sweet sorrow.

Humpty Dumpty had a big wall,

Humpty Dumpty wasn’t so tall,

So Humpty Dumpty cursed the wall

And on Humpty Dumpty the wall did fall.

So Humpty Dumpty called his mother.

She wasn’t small at all,

And took poor Humpty by his ear,

For Humpty Dumpty the message was clear,

He shouldn’t have cursed at all.

The lunatic, the lunatic,

It’s easy to despise,

But the decisions made by the sanest ones

Make the lunatic to be wise.

Mental health is the poor relation,

The saw- bones gets the cash,

And lessons are rarely learnt

When righteousness is trashed.

But here is another day,

And much will be the same,

And the best that I can hope for

Is God’s blessing on the lemon balm,

My anxieties to tame.
