How We Make Money

This website is free to read. It's funded by advertising and by affiliate links.

Affiliate links

Some links in our guides and articles are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission. This never changes the price you pay. Pages that contain affiliate links say so at the top.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

We may also earn commission through other affiliate programmes, for example from booking sites when you book a guided street art tour. Affiliate links are marked as sponsored links in our code.

Advertising

Some pages show adverts. Advertisers have no say over what we write, and adverts are always labelled.

Our independence

We choose what to write about and what to recommend ourselves. No company can pay to change a guide, a fact or a recommendation. Read our editorial policy for how we research and check our guides.
